Business Development Manager (DACH)

As Business Development Manager – DACH, you will play a vital role in Zoot’s European growth strategy by identifying, engaging, and nurturing relationships with financial service providers across Germany, Austria and Switzerland. This is a client-facing, opportunity-driven role focused on growing our pipeline, building strategic relationships, and positioning Zoot in a rapidly evolving digital lending landscape.

This role is designed for a proactive, confident professional who thrives in a fast-moving sales environment and takes ownership of driving outcomes. A results-oriented mindset and the ability to turn opportunities into action are essential.

It is an excellent opportunity for a sales-driven individual looking to take the next step in their career and grow long-term within an established, industry-leading digitalisation partner supporting financial service providers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive new business development by identifying, contacting, and qualifying prospective clients across the DACH region.
  • Actively build and manage a pipeline of high-value opportunities, with a focus on banks, payment providers, leasing and ecommerce companies.
  • Develop a deep understanding of client needs, market trends, and regulatory drivers to offer tailored solutions.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling presentations and proposals, clearly articulating Zoot’s value proposition to C-level and senior stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams (Product, Marketing, and Pre-Sales) to create targeted campaigns and support regional go-to-market initiatives.
  • Represent Zoot at relevant industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities
  • Maintain accurate reporting and forecasting in CRM tools, providing regular updates on pipeline status and activity levels.
  • Support the preparation of sales materials, such as solution brochures, proposals, pitch decks, and webinar content.
  • Provide feedback from the field, helping refine positioning, messaging, and product features based on client insights and market demands.

Knowledge & Skills

Profile

  • 5 years’ experience in business development, sales, or partner management—ideally within a software vendor, a credit bureau or a fintech
  • Sales hunter mindset to independently identify and qualify sales opportunities
  • Strong knowledge of the DACH financial services landscape, ideally with an established network in banking, payments, leasing or e-commerce.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of developing relationships and driving sales cycles in a consultative, solution-oriented manner.
  • Native-level German speaking and fluent English (C1+). Additional European language skills would be a plus.
  • Willingness to travel regularly within DACH, occasionally other European countries.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g. HubSpot, Salesforce) and sales frameworks is a plus.

If you’re passionate about driving growth and delivering measurable results, we’d love to hear from you!
